Halloween Party 2009

Halloween Party 2009

With a total different surrounding, people there ALL dressed up, chilling with a glass of drink standing by a heater pole or at the bar in line for food and drinks.

This year, I dressed up as a French mime artist, the Pierrot, but no one recognized me, even as a French clown. Only one person mis-conceptualized me as Harlequin. Apparently, there is room for my makeup skill to improve. Perhaps I should have made my face much whiter. Pale like white wallpaper. And drew more this and that. haha.

I have bumped into many interesting "creatures" including Tetris (俄羅斯方塊), an iron robot, a dog in sexy angel dog costume which reminded me of the sexy matching costumes Steven Colbert was talking about in his show.

This is a big year of Michael Jackson, vampires, and Alice in the Wonderland. I even had thought of dressing up like a female Mad Hatter. hah! I did see many Alice and vampires at the party, and I bumped into a vampire victim, but I was surprised to find out that Michael Jackson was missing. Instead, a giant dragon is dancing among them.

There were two Rauol Duke of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I am currently reading the book, frankly, I am NOT enjoying it for the fact that I was not born in the crazy-drug-use-1960s-of the U.S. Nonetheless, I will finish the book and watch the movie again. I want to learn more about this country and understand the American Hippie culture.

This party was so much fun! Although they did not serve us enough food to compensate my damage for the ticket, it's always fun to mingle with different people. Brilliant!

Oh, this year, I got a rental costume. I modified how it was supposed to be worn; and I liked it a lot.

Farewell to my first rental costume.

Next year, what do you [not] want to be?
